It's one of the most common complaints we hear: 'We're getting visitors, but nobody contacts us.' The instinct is to buy more traffic. But if the same traffic converts on a competitor's site, more traffic just means more wasted visits.
1. The offer is unclear in five seconds
A visitor should understand three things almost instantly: what you do, who it's for and what to do next. If your hero section is a vague slogan, people leave. Replace it with a specific outcome and a clear next step.
2. The page asks for too much, too early
A 12-field form on a first visit is a conversion killer. Start with the minimum information needed to have a conversation: name, phone and one qualifying question. Collect the rest later.
3. There's no proof
Claims without evidence create doubt. Add specific reviews, client names, measurable results, certifications and real photos. 'Trusted by 140+ businesses' is good. '140+ clients, 50L+ leads, 4.9/5 rating' is better.
4. The mobile experience is broken
Most Indian traffic is mobile, often on mid-range devices and inconsistent networks. Test your site on a real phone. Check load time, tap targets, form usability and whether the phone number is clickable.
5. There's no follow-up system
A form submission that waits six hours for a reply is often a lost lead. Add instant WhatsApp confirmation, automated acknowledgement and a clear response-time promise. Speed is a competitive advantage.
The quick audit
- Can a stranger explain your offer after five seconds?
- Is there a clear CTA above the fold and after every section?
- Does the form ask only for what you need?
- Is there specific proof near every claim?
- Does the site load in under three seconds on mobile?
- Does every enquiry get a response within minutes?
Fix these before spending another rupee on traffic. Conversion improvements compound — every future visit becomes more valuable.
“More traffic to a leaky funnel isn't growth. It's a bigger leak.”
